• The 2022 vintage : Precocity & Drought

The 2022 vintage will be marked by precocity and drought: the strong sunshine and record temperatures have led to rapid maturity of the grapes.

The flowering of many vineyards took place under more favorable climatic conditions than last year but the production, which was announced to be a little higher than the five-year average, could be reviewed in the decline due to the drought affecting the grapes.

When there is a lack of water, the vine dries up, becomes blocked: “water stress” causes it to lose its leaves and it stops feeding its clusters and the size of the berries decreases.

Our oenologists are hard at work and working closely with our historical partners to bring out the best in this 2022 vintage.

We will get back to you very soon to give you more information on our 2022 harvest.

  • A wink to History

José Tastavy and Joël Baconin have gone full circle by acquiring the former site of the Domaines Virginie, the winery where they worked before establishing the Domaines des Marins in 1997. Located on the route de Narbonne, the cellars and winemaking site (stainless steel vats with capacity 20,000 hl) will be redeveloped at the start of 2020 with a view to meeting the most demanding of requests from customers in relation to quality, processing and traceability, and gaining even greater expertise in the production of wines tailored to their customers.
