The 2022 vintage will be marked by precocity and drought: the strong sunshine and record temperatures have led to rapid maturity of the grapes.

The flowering of many vineyards took place under more favorable climatic conditions than last year but the production, which was announced to be a little higher than the five-year average, could be reviewed in the decline due to the drought affecting the grapes.

When there is a lack of water, the vine dries up, becomes blocked: « water stress » causes it to lose its leaves and it stops feeding its clusters and the size of the berries decreases.

Our oenologists are hard at work and working closely with our historical partners to bring out the best in this 2022 vintage.
